Comfy shoes are an essential part of everyone’s wardrobe, and when you are working a tiresome shift or teaching long classes all day, or anything that requires you to be on your feet all day or night, it is important to know which shoes are the best for comfort, and why they need to be well-fitted.
Functionality, comfort and fashion are not often associated together, but in our Sole Bliss shoes, you get the upmost comfort and style, and versatile options which you can wear for hours on end, from day to night.
Cons of Wearing Ill-Fitted Shoes
The shoes you wear everyday have such a big impact in your life, although you may never think about. It is incredibly important to wear comfortable shoes for standing all day, as wearing ill-fitting shoes can affect your natural movement and growth of your feet. They can also cause common foot problems like Hammer Toes and Bunions.
Hammer Toes is a condition that affects the joints in your second, third, fourth, and fifth toes. This condition causes the joints to bend abnormally, so your toes might curl up rather than lay flat on the ground. To give your toes the space they need, you need to wear comfortable shoes with a wide toe box. This means that narrow or pointy shoes can make hammer toes even more uncomfortable.
Shoes are made to protect your feet from a lot of things like cuts and extreme temperatures, but unfortunately, wearing ill-fitting shoes can also do a lot more harm. Wearing shoes that are too tight across the width, or shoes that are a size too small, will often leave you with blisters, corns and calluses.
If your shoes are too tight around your toes, this can sometimes create Ingrown Toenails, which is where your toenail grows into the skin around your nail bed. This causes inflammation, swelling and tenderness. To avoid Ingrown Toenails, make sure you are trimming your nails regularly and wearing shoes that allow room at the front of the toe box. This is particularly important if you are standing all day.
Not wearing the correct type of shoes for your feet can often lead to symptoms including pain, fatigue and strain. Not only this, but wearing ill-fitting shoes, for example sizes too small, high pointed-toe heels, or shoes that have very narrow widths, can often change your natural foot shape over time, and cause problems like Bunions and Hammer Toes.
Pros of Wearing Sole Bliss Shoes
Wanting the most comfortable shoes for standing all day? Sole Bliss has the answer! When it comes to the best shoes for all day comfort, accommodating the width and depth of your feet should always be a priority.
Sole Bliss shoes feature deep and wide toe boxes to accommodate difficult joints like bunions, hammer-toes and to alleviate pain and pressure from painful conditions like Plantar Fasciitis or Morton's Neuroma.
We always recommend finding shoes that have built in arch support or a contoured footbed to offer custom support. A wider toe box and suitable adjustments on the shoe help get the perfect fit.
Any type of shoe that has a lace up design will generally be best if you struggle finding the perfect fit, as you can adjust and tighten the laces as much as you need. We would recommend our Miracle Trainers which have a lace-up and zip design for the perfect fit and easy entry. We love these shoes for standing all day!
